#AliveinAugust: Update 1

Happy Tuesday!  I wanted to check up with you with my #AliveinAugust Challenge!  I hope you have been following along, and I would love to see your own posts!  Don’t forget to use the hashtag and tag me!

Day 6:  Feeling tired, but very much alive after seeing 3 Reiki clients today.  I love that I can use my gift to help others through their physical symptoms, emotional blocks, and help with goal setting.

Day 7:  Instead of our after dinner family walk, we chose to take a bike ride instead.  My neighborhood has some pretty steep inclines, so this was a huge challenge.  But it felt really liberating coasting down the hills, with the wind blowing through my hair, shouting “Alive in August!!!!!”  (Yes.  I did that.  And embarrassed my daughter.)

Day 8:  Pool day with my bestie and our familes.  I love enjoying these last few days of soaking up vitamin D, the smell of sunscreen, and being with friend who motivates you to be your best self.

Day 9: I felt very much alive after teaching a group of amazing, grateful yogis at Charlotte Yoga.   The yoga community here in Charlotte is such an uplifting, supportive family.  I am continually grateful for the many studios that I teach and practice in.

Day 10:  See that?  That is my name.  In Jen Hatmaker’s new book, For The Love.  I was lucky enough to be on the launch team and got an advanced copy.  The real deal is out and on shelves now…and she thanked all of us.  I cannot wait to lead this study with my women’s group at church.  (which is one of my #37in37 items!)

Have an amazing week…try to do something that makes you feel alive! xo
