I went Sky Diving

Yes. I actually did it!  I added this item to my #37in37 list because it is part crazy, part scary, part bucket-listy.

My friend Amanda was supposed to get married on 9-9…long story, and sometimes things are really hard before they turn good.  So things are  turning out beautifully– just as God planned…but we made plans to go sky diving on Wednesday way before the magic started back up and we stuck to it.

The rain clouds in the morning delayed our jump.  We grabbed breakfast and said out loud over and over…”We are jumping today!”  There is no way we were not going sky diving after all this planning!

We took the long route out to Raeford, NC.  (Hint:  there is a place a little closer…but it isn’t NEAR as nice.)  We chose to go to Paraclete XP.  A friend from high school who is a frequent jumper gave us the recommendation…so glad he did.  We were with highly trained jumpers, big comfy planes, and an on site fun house with a wind tunnel, and a place to grab food and drinks!   (if you show your video at the bar, you get a free beer!)

We signed our lives away, watched a video, got suited up and we were ready to jump!

The jump…I almost backed out!  If you take the time to watch my VIDEO, you can see how James tries to scoot me out and I.am.not.moving.
