I love Valentine’s Day! I know some people think it is silly, or just another day, but I make a big deal pretty much everything. . Remember, we celebrate half birthdays in this house!
I had to teach my early Saturday morning “Rockstar” yoga class at Laughing Buddha. I call that class my “Rockstar” class because it is early on a Saturday morning, I crank the heat up to 114 degrees, and do a fast and furious flow. Any arm balance I suggest, they do it!
I was pleasantly surprised to see this on my kitchen table when I woke up. It was like the Three Little Bears. A big bouquet for me, a medium sized one for Kadyn, and a little one for Brody. All with homemade cards. My heart is exploding even typing this. Good husbands are sexy, but good dads are even sexier. My man is the absolute best. You know how I know for sure? On my way out, there was another bouquet. FOR HIS MOM. I got a good man.
Our date was taking a Partner Yoga class together. Above is a picture of one of the poses we got into. He is in a bridge pose, and my head is between is legs, (I could easily make a Hey Girl out of this photo…) my shoulders on his thighs to push up into an inversion. I love when we do fun stuff together like this together. The workshop facilitator, Melissa did such a fabulous job. She talked a little at the beginning, then we warmed up separately (put the oxygen mask on yourself first!) then moved on to partner work. She even weaved in the Five Love Languages!
After the workshop, we scooped up the rest of our family (minus Toby!) and went to our favorite neighborhood restaurant, Whooli’s and chowed down on buffalo wings, Miller Lite, shrimp. (for the record, the kids did not drink beer. )
I don’t need fancy on Valentines day. I was so happy to be in jeans and a sweatshirt, throwing my peanut shells on the floor. I was with the people I love more than anything in this world. My fab four. <3
Do you go all out fancy on Valentine’s Day?
Do you know your (and your partner’s) LOVE LANGUAGE?
